Your Pregnancy, Your Choice

When you first learn that you’re pregnant you can either contact your GP, Midwife or self-refer to a maternity unit of your choice. Each maternity unit has a website with details on how to self-refer, advice and further information.

Self referral via the mum & baby app

GP surgeries are encouraged to signpost women to the mum and baby app informing them that self-referral is recommended.  The app is free and easy to download from the App Store or Google Play.  The benefits of this pathway are that self-referral can be done as soon as the woman is aware of her pregnancy and it shortens the waiting time between referral and first booking appointment.  Click on the link below for more information:
